Morpurgo Architects transformed a 10,000 sf. Municipal Complex, devoid of light, into a vibrant facility that enhances the lives of the Borough’s seniors.
An atrium, skylights and glass designed to cascade like a waterfall at the building’s corners illuminate the space. We created a joyful environment with a bright palette and innovative modern furniture. The floating ceiling serves as an inverse canopy.
At the opening of the Center, dignitaries lauded our dynamic aesthetics for “setting a new standard for Senior Centers in New Jersey.” A Senator recommended that Mayors throughout the State be encouraged to use our enlightened design as a model.
